D-BOYZ

Who We Are

L,,LLStraight out of Norfolk, Virginia, three brothers all had dreams about being successful rappers and making songs that could tell stories about the struggles of their environment and what they had seen.

Tracy, Aaron, and Brodie were poor and raised by their single mother. Their inspiration came from family members that were already in the music business. Even when they were young they would love to hear good beats and lyrics. One day their mom, Sarah, introduced them to Jai E, a rapper in a group called "High Noon". From there Jai E introduced them to CEO G, who had a record company called "RepYaSet". Brodie and Aaron get a computer and learn how to make beats and that’s when they officially started rapping. This is also when they collectively came up with their name D-Boyz. The meaning behind D-Boyz is Davis brothers.

One day they got a call that told them that their cousin "cow" died. This was a huge slap in the face for the D-Boyz. Their cousin was very influential to the boys, so in his death they wanted to step their game up and make their cousin proud. Cow was a individual that gave back to the community so they wanted to continue with his legacy. Next, CEO G took the D-Boyz to the studio, which led them to record their first album, "Not Local". Even though they were pleased with just making their first album, which sold over 18,000 copies in a year, it didn’t sit well with them that the lyrics were really negative.

Tracy one day ran into Mr. White, with Gold Brick Investments. Mr. White told the boys that he would help them if they changed their derogatory music. He said it was too much negativity in this world. They needed to change to positive for the masses. With the changes they implemented he agreed to help them with their music career. With time D-Boyz and Mr. White made a good relationship and the boys decided to make him their manager while RepYaSet was their label.

With so many family and friends dieing or getting incarcerated D-Boyz and management decided their next album need to lift up the community. In 2015 with no cursing, using derogatory words, or bringing our queens and kings down they decided to drop their second album "Positivity". They have positive messages in their lyrics with great southern beats that are beneficial to their fans. Within two months "Positivity" already sold 12,000 copies. "Positivity" is currently on sale in stores near you as well as iTunes. We switch to our new single Turn Up that we have with Grammy award winner No-malice from the Clispe. At the present time we have sold over 30k and counting CDs hand to hand in the 757 area.
